As the weather is getting colder, I’m trying to hang on to summer. Early in July we designed floral arrangements for this bold and striking wedding. Since it was so late in the peony season, I was elated to be able to create for Kate the bouquet of her dreams complete with snow white peonies.
Up close the bouquet is stunning with an assortment of textures and perfect balance of delicate blossoms and voluminous blooms.
Besides the peonies Kate’s bouquet features stock, freesia, roses, ranunculus, and dendrobium orchids.
To contrast with their black dresses the bridesmaids carried hot pink bouquets of peonies, roses, dianthus and spray roses.
Elegant white ceremony flowers added just the right touch to the beautiful sanctuary at Wesley United Methodist Church.
Reminiscent of the bridal bouquet, a cake topper designed in white peonies, roses, and rannunculus sat elegantly atop the wedding cake.
Thank you to Vivid Studios for sharing these lovely photographs.
Blossom Basket Florist has used the tag line “From Simple to Simply Magnificent” for a few years now and the set of pictures I just received from Amanda Overmyer brought that phrase to mind. Each year we design weddings in a wide range of styles, price points, sizes, and color palates. They are each perfect and custom designed for the couple and their tastes.
Fresh green, traditional ivory, and dramatic plum are perfectly mixed in this simple and sweet hand-tied bridal bouquet.
The maids carried coordinated bouquets of green and ivory to contrast with their plum dresses.
Fresh white daisies accented with moody moonvista dianthus and light blue delphinium, came together for a perfectly understated hand-tied bouquet for the very hip bride.
And for this beautiful and bubbly bride a traditional cascade, lush with whites and buttercream yellows. The textures of the roses, lilies, stock and orchids compliment each other and the shapes fit together in a lovely teardrop cascade.
