Champaign Wedding Florist – Fresh Green and Warm Ivory

Traditional and subtle these bouquets of roses, hydrangea, stock and berries were neutral and eye catching simultaneously.  The soft lime green hydrangea is an amazing cool hued neutral while the sand and ivory roses add a touch of warmth.

Thank to the wonderful bride and her happy husband. It was a pleasure to work with you and we enjoyed the finish products as much as the process.  Thank you for choosing Blossom Basket to be your Florist.

Thank you to wedding photographer Holly Birch for once again ‘knocking it out of the park’ (Holly -I tried to come up with a football analogy but am not not really up on the sports lingo) (For the rest of you -Holly also does wonderful sports photography). See more of Holly’s work here.

Champaign Wedding Florist – Lush Blush

One of my favorite ways to confirm a bride and I are on the on the same page in terms of the vision for their bridal bouquet is to put together a bouquet board. Much like the mood boards commonly used for interior decorating or putting together outfits, the bouquet board juxtaposes the elements of the purposed bouquet and colors used elsewhere in the wedding for a more complete picture.

Here was Julia’s bouquet board and then her completed bouquet,

While there are certainly many other  design and style details conveyed in our notes and discussions, the color palate and texture of the bouquet is easily conveyed this way.

The lush textures of the flowers we chose were set off by the perfect pairing of colors, delicate but warm pinks, peaches, and ivories.

The bridesmaids wore navy and carried slightly paler hand tied bouquets out of the same types of flowers. Thick grey ribbons tied the bridesmaids ensemble to the look of the groomsmen in grey with blue ties.

Thank you to the wonderful photographer Holly Birch. Holly and I have worked on countless weddings together and she never fails to capture the personality and styling of the bride in amazing images. Check out more of her beautiful photography on her website.
